Dragon Quest Builders Review [PS4] – Based on the Demo | The Cuter Minecraft Clone | Also on PS Vita

Dragon Quest Builders is a sandbox RPG developed and published by Square Enix for the PlayStation 4, and PlayStation Vita. The game is set in Alefgard, the world of both Dragon Warrior and Dragon Warrior 3 (both released on the NES and Gameboy Color in the US) and the Super Famicom and Wii exclusively in Japan. Players control the savior (Bildrick) who is tasked with rebuilding the world after it was destroyed by the evil Dragonlord. The game features a voxel aesthetic style, with gathering, survival, and building elements similar to Minecraft.

Dragon Quest Builders is divided into 4 chapters – each chapter consists of a region made of multiple islands and includes a new settlement to restore. NPCs give the player tasks (or quests) to perform and reward him with new items. Bildrick must construct new buildings and defend his camp from invading enemies. In addition to the linear story mode, DragonQuest Builders includes a completely open world free build island where the player can use the recipes gained during story play to construct their own camp and then share it online with other players.
